Role Description The Head of Projects is a full-time, on-site role based in Birganj, responsible for leading the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of multiple pre-engineered building projects. This role oversees project teams, coordinates with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers, and ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and reviewing project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates; tracking progress and resolving site issues; and implementing risk management and mitigation strategies. The Head of Projects will establish and maintain project management processes, prepare regular reports for senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery methods. The role also involves mentoring project managers and engineers, promoting a culture of safety and compliance, and supporting business development through technical input on proposals and bids.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and delivering large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in pre-engineered buildings or related industrial/commercial structures.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, structural design concepts, quality control practices, and site safety standards.
• Effective leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, and fostering collaboration across functions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in project management and office software (e.g., MS Project or similar tools, spreadsheets, and document management systems).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a structured approach to decision-making under time and resource constraints.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical business practices.
• Willingness to work on-site in Birganj and regularly visit project locations as required.
