Position: Finance and Admin Officer

Location: Kathmandu

YKP LEAD Nepal is a youth-led organization dedicated to improving the lives of Young People Living with HIV (YPLHIV) and Young Key Populations (YKPs) through advocacy, leadership, skill development, and rights-based programming. Position Summary

The Finance and Admin Officer will be responsible for managing both financial and administrative tasks of the organization. This includes maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with government and donor requirements (including SWC), and handling administrative operations to support smooth day-to-day functioning.

Key Responsibilities

Finance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and bookkeeping.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and financial monitoring and ensure compliance with financial policies, donor guidelines, and government regulations (including SWC).

  • Prepare tax and audit documentation.

  • Handle bank reconciliations, payments, and petty cash management.

  • Coordinate with external auditors for project audits and annual audits.

Administration:

  • Oversee procurement processes and maintain proper documentation.

  • Maintain organizational records, files, and administrative databases.

  • Support logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, and field visits.

  • Manage office supplies, equipment, and assets.

  • Assist in HR documentation and personnel recordkeeping.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master’s preferred.)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in NGOs or development sectors.

  • Familiarity with accounting standards, government tax regulations, and SWC reporting.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. FAMAS) and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • Commitment to youth-led initiatives and YKP LEAD Nepal’s values.
