Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Officer role based in Kathmandu. The Sales Officer will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, build and maintain relationships with retail and wholesale customers, and support channel partners to increase product visibility and sales. Daily responsibilities include conducting market visits, presenting product offerings, following up on leads, and managing the end-to-end sales process from inquiry to order closing. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams for stock availability, timely deliveries, and customer issue resolution, while maintaining accurate sales records and reports. The Sales Officer will contribute to sales strategies, participate in promotional activities, and provide feedback on market trends and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to build trust, handle inquiries, and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency in Lead Generation and Sales Operations to identify prospects, manage pipelines, and follow structured sales processes.
Experience in channel sales, including managing and supporting distributors, retail partners, modern trade, and other sales channels.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets, with solid negotiation, presentation, and basic data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of FMCG or agro-food products and local market dynamics in Kathmandu and surrounding regions is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, travel within assigned territories, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort using CRM tools or basic sales reporting systems; fluency in Nepali and good command of English are beneficial.
