Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for an iOS Developer (Swift) at Butterfly. The person in this role will design, build, and maintain iOS applications that integrate with Butterfly’s cloud-based hospital and operating theatre management platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new features in Swift, improving app performance and reliability, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences for clinical and administrative users. The role also involves writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of the mobile architecture and development practices. The iOS Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable mobile solutions for healthcare customers.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in iOS Development and iOS application lifecycle, including experience building and shipping apps to the App Store.
• Hands-on experience in Mobile Application Development and Mobile Applications, with a focus on native app patterns, UI/UX best practices, and performance optimization.
• Solid background in Software Development, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, version control (e.g., Git), and unit/instrumentation testing.
• Proficiency in Swift and related iOS frameworks (e.g., UIKit/SwiftUI, CoreData, Combine, networking frameworks) and familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps, code review processes, and agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
