Job Purpose

The Sales Officer is responsible for selling ERP software solutions to businesses by understanding client needs, presenting suitable solutions, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify potential clients across industries (manufacturing, trading, service sectors)
  • Generate leads through visits, calls, networking, and referrals
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline

2. Client Meeting & Requirement Analysis

  • Meet business owners and decision-makers
  • Understand business challenges and operational gaps
  • Suggest ERP solutions based on client needs

3. Product Demonstration

  • Conduct ERP software demos (online/offline)
  • Explain modules such as Sales, Inventory, Accounting, HR
  • Customize demonstrations based on industry (e.g., tea manufacturing, retail)

4. Proposal & Sales Closure

  • Prepare proposals and quotations
  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Close sales and achieve targets

5. Sales Target Achievement

  • Meet monthly and quarterly sales goals
  • Report progress and performance regularly

6. Follow-up & Relationship Management

  • Follow up with leads and existing clients
  • Build long-term customer relationships
  • Generate repeat business and referrals

7. CRM / Data Management

  • Maintain accurate records of leads and sales activities
  • Update CRM/ERP system regularly

8. Coordination with Implementation Team

  • Work closely with technical/support teams
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients

9. Sales Targets & Performance Measurement


The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving the following monthly targets:

  • Achieve a minimum monthly sales target
  • Target may vary based on market conditions and experience level


Required Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of business processes (sales, accounting, inventory)
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in simple terms
  • Negotiation and closing skills
  • Target-driven and self-motivated


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field
  • Experience in software or ERP sales preferred

  • Number of leads generated
  • Conversion rate (lead to customer)
  • Monthly/quarterly sales revenue
  • Customer satisfaction and retention
