Job Description
We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Audio/Video Journalist to spearhead our multimedia storytelling. This role is pivotal in evolving "The Diplomat Nepal" from a print-heavy medium into a dynamic digital powerhouse. You will be responsible for producing high-impact podcasts, video interviews, and short-form documentaries that analyze Nepal’s place in the global order.
Key Responsibilities:
- Multimedia Production: Lead the end-to-end production (scripting, filming, and editing) of "The Diplomat Podcast" and exclusive video interviews with Ambassadors and Global thinkers.
- Visual Storytelling: Translate complex foreign policy whitepapers and geopolitical shifts into engaging visual content for our digital platforms.
- On-Site Coverage: Provide high-quality audio/visual coverage of diplomatic forums, state visits, and events hosted by The Ambassadors Club.
- Post-Production Excellence: Ensure all output meets international broadcasting standards, including color grading, sound mixing, and the integration of motion graphics.
Requirements:
- Technical Mastery: Expert proficiency in tech tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and professional podcasting software (e.g., Audition or Riverside).
- Diplomatic Acumen: A solid grasp of Nepal’s foreign policy and the ability to maintain the "diplomatic nuance" required when interviewing high-ranking officials.
- Experience: 2–4 years in broadcast journalism or high-end digital media production.
- Soft Skills: Hardworking, diligent, and passionate; able to remain composed and professional in high-stakes, formal environments.
