We, at Omnicom Media Group Nepal, a subsidiary of OmnicomMediaGroup Australia are looking to hire for the position of Research Assistant.


About the Role


As Marketing Intelligence Assistant, you will play an important assisting role in the delivery of market research projects across our clients. You will assist the members of the team in the creation of market leading research for our clients.


Scope of Assignment


1. Media and Campaign Effectiveness - Unpack media and campaign impact to optimise spend and sharpen strategy for the future using quantitative techniques and methodologies (such as opportunity to see and ad tracking technology to determine advertising exposure).


2. Audience Segmentation – Understanding where audiences are and how to speak to them. Shaping both media and creative decisions. Utilising traditional quantitative or qualitative techniques, first party data or existing market data sources.


3. Brand Health & Development / Category & Consumer – understanding brand, category or consumer utilising bespoke quantitative or qualitative techniques to uncover insights.


This role is responsible for assisting on projects, including data analysis and report preparation all with support, coaching and mentoring from more senior researchers. You will work across many different research projects, with a focus on quantitative data sets.


Key Deliverables


To be successful in this role you are required to focus on the following key areas:


• Questionnaire link checking for quantitative research

• Liaising with survey scripters

• On-going fieldwork and sampling management/checking and reporting

• Data checking and cleaning (quantitative and qualitative data)

• Data set up (i.e. creating cross tabs) in our data analysis tool, Q.

• Templating reports in PowerPoint

• Creating spreadsheets in Excel

• Charting of data in PowerPoint

• Updating norms base documents/learnings bank

• Basic data analysis

• Writing case studies

• Project admin

• Liaising with other team members to support on live projects and prepare content for reports and presentations


Required Experience & Qualifications / Critical elements of success:


  • A degree in marketing, psychology, economics, statistics or any business or science degree that has an analytical and statistical focus is advantageous
  • A curious mind and genuine passion for understanding consumers, brands and categories through research
  • An outgoing, 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical
  • High level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
  • Good knowledge of the MS office suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, statistical software Q
