Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Billing and Measurement Engineer based in Birganj, Nepal. The Billing and Measurement Engineer will be responsible for conducting site measurements, verifying quantities, and ensuring accurate documentation for pre-engineered building projects. The role includes preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQ), measurement sheets, and progress bills in coordination with project, site, and finance teams. The engineer will monitor measurement systems, support calibration and validation of relevant instruments, and reconcile any discrepancies between site records and billing documentation. Day-to-day tasks also involve collaborating with contractors and suppliers, maintaining measurement and billing logs, and supporting audits and reporting to ensure transparency and compliance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to review measurements, verify quantities, and identify discrepancies in billing and project documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Measurements and Measurement Systems used in construction or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to measurement devices, instrumentation, and site installations.
- Experience with Calibration of measurement instruments and ensuring adherence to accuracy and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software for measurement recording, billing, and reporting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contracts.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively on-site in a team environment.
- Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, or pre-engineered buildings is an advantage.
