Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Head of Procurement role based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Head of Procurement will lead and oversee the entire procurement function, including developing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals. The role includes managing sourcing activities, identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and ensuring timely purchasing of materials and services for pre-engineered building projects. The Head of Procurement will collaborate closely with project, engineering, finance, and operations teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and maintain cost efficiency and quality standards. The role also involves monitoring supplier performance, managing procurement risks, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and local regulations, and mentoring and developing members of the procurement team.

Qualifications

  • Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including experience in procurement planning and managing end-to-end purchasing processes.
  • Proficiency in supplier management and supplier evaluation, with the ability to build and maintain reliable vendor networks.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, including terms, pricing, and service levels for construction or manufacturing-related supplies.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a procurement team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of construction or infrastructure project lifecycles, preferably in pre-engineered buildings or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and cost-control skills, with proficiency in procurement or ERP software tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
