Role Description As a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at Kunyo is Marketing, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing SEO initiatives to improve organic visibility and traffic for client websites. This full-time, on-site role is based in Kathmandu and involves conducting keyword research, implementing on-page SEO improvements, and performing technical and content-focused SEO audits. You will manage link-building activities, collaborate with content and paid media teams to align organic and paid strategies, and monitor performance using web analytics tools. Daily tasks include reviewing rankings and traffic trends, identifying opportunities for optimization, preparing reports and insights for clients, and staying updated on search engine algorithms and best practices. You will also help develop SEO recommendations, participate in client meetings when needed, and contribute to internal process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Keyword Research and On-Page SEO, including metadata optimization, URL structure, and content recommendations.
  • Experience conducting comprehensive SEO Audits covering technical, content, and user experience aspects.
  • Hands-on experience with Link Building strategies, including outreach, partnerships, and off-page optimization.
  • Ability to use Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, other SEO platforms) to track performance and derive insights.
  • Solid understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
  • Comfort working with CMS platforms (such as WordPress or similar) to implement SEO changes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and presenting findings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a digital agency or performance marketing environment is an advantage.
