Job DescriptionOur Client, KAAM CONSTRUCTION PVT. LTD. is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Interior Designer to manage interior design and fit-out projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality execution aligned with hospitality and residential design standards while coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Concept Design & Client Coordination
- Develop interior design concepts for residential villas, hotels, and resorts based on client requirements and project briefs
- Engage with clients from concept development through final design approval
- Create mood boards, space layouts, and material selection proposals
- Present design ideas and artistic vision clearly and professionally
- Design Development & Documentation
- Prepare design drawings, presentations, and 3D visualizations using design software
- Select furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, and décor elements
- Stay updated with current interior design trends, materials, and technologies
- Prepare BOQs, tender drawings, and project schedules
- Project Execution & Site Coordination
- Oversee interior fit-out works including guestrooms, corridors, and public areas
- Supervise execution of wall finishes, flooring, ceilings, furniture, lighting, and bathroom installations
- Coordinate MEP integration (HVAC, lighting, sprinklers, switches, sockets, detectors)
- Ensure compliance with hospitality standards, design intent, and quality specifications
- Monitor workmanship of joinery, furniture, finishes, and decorative elements
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, suppliers, and production teams
- Act as a liaison between Project Director, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Support procurement planning, material delivery, and vendor coordination
- Manage multiple contractors and ensure smooth execution of site activities
- Project Monitoring & Documentation
- Prepare and track project schedules and timelines
- Verify running bills and assist in final billing certification
- Maintain complete project documentation, approvals, and inspection records
- Prepare snag lists, coordinate rectification works, and ensure timely closure
- Support smooth handover to operations with complete documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in interior fit-out or project coordination (hospitality experience preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and construction detailing
- Experience in BOQ preparation, tender drawings, and project scheduling
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and contractors simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
