Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Game QA Engineer to join our QA team. In this role, you will lead testing initiatives, mentor team members, and help ensure the delivery of high-quality gaming and back-office applications through both manual and automated testing practices.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design testing strategies, improve QA processes, and contribute to the overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers
- Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Review automation scripts and testing practices
- Support team development and career growth
Test Strategy & Automation
- Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks
- Implement API, UI, regression, and performance testing solutions
- Develop automated testing using Playwright, Postman, and JMeter
- Integrate testing processes within CI/CD pipelines
Quality Assurance Management
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and QA documentation
- Define testing standards, quality gates, and release criteria
- Manage defect tracking and testing environments
- Establish QA metrics and reporting processes
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and operations teams
- Participate in sprint planning and architectural discussions
- Ensure products meet functional, performance, and quality standards
Technical Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies (TDD, BDD, ATDD)
- Experience with API, web, mobile, and database testing
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Playwright
- Postman
- JMeter
- Git
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
- Strong SQL and debugging skills
Programming Knowledge
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript preferred
- Understanding of OOP concepts and automation frameworks
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern web technologies
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in gaming industry QA is highly preferred
- Understanding of performance, security, and accessibility testing
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
- ISTQB or similar certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of QA experience
- At least 1 year of automation testing experience
- Prior team leadership experience preferred
