Job Description
  1. Job Purpose


  • To supervise and guide the team of breathe free educators and Digital BFE in executing duties as per strategy given by HO.
  • Ensuring all monitoring reporting is in accordance as per requirement with quality of work maintained by coordinating with the service providing KOLS/KBLS.
  • Giving continuous guidance & on the job training whilst working with the team in different areas for their continuous development in performing demonstrations of proprietary respiratory devices of Cipla to provide awareness to patients, doctors and other relevant stakeholders on the correct usage techniques of the device thus creating a positive environment for sales growth.
  • To overlook the BFE Chemist campaign


  1. Key Accountabilities


1.Supervising the BFE Team to ensure execution as per BFE strategy (Supervisory)

(Supervision/ itinerary/ Equipment - Demo tools for BFE Clinic to perform / Training)

Ensure continuous guidance to the BFE Team whilst ensuring continuous training in different required areas for their continuous development in order to deliver the BFE Strategy for the Country


Set Monthly Itinerary & work closely on ground with the BFEs to ensure their day-to-day activities are as planned & ensure Team delivers as per strategy in adhering to reporting requirements & to encourage business growth


Coordinate with Marketing & HO to ensure all BFEs are equipped with Demonstration of Tools for the BFE Clinics across the country

  • Demonstration Kits
  • Demonstration Leaflets & Posters
  • Equipment for the Clinic: Peakflow meters Spirometry,
  • Placebo: MDI, DPCaps, Nasal Spray


Training & Development - Carve & Coordinate for BFE Trainings with HO & Locally with Respiratory Physicians

  • Device Trainings / Spirometry / Patient Caring/ counselling
  • Digital engagement tools (for Digital BFEs)


2.BFE Reporting


  • Ensuring seamless monitoring and managing of the required level of reporting and coordination with regard to the BFE Team
  • Ensure Accurate Optimal Usage of the BFE System Portal as per Prescription apart from WhatsApp (Products / Competitor info/ Patient Count/ Doctorwise Business)
  • Ensure Reporting Book is maintained at the clinics by the BFEs to cross check the system entries since real time entry in clinic is not possible
  • Analyse Data & Recommend for continuous development of BF Strategy


3.Ensure the Respiratory Physicians (KOL/KBLs) & the BF/ Respiratory Clinics are supported with the service & research work


  • Ensure the Team carries out the Quality of work is being maintained by coordinating with the service providing KOLS/KBLS
  • As per specific Clinic’s Doctor requirement to ensure the BFEs are trained to deliver the quality work
  • Identify devices which are out of function, by receiving user complaints (such as device discoloration, out of order etc.) and escalate such complaints to Product Manager and FLM.
  • Ensure Awareness Programmes for Patients are carried out together with respective respiratory physicians
  • Ensure Support provided to Doctors via Data Collection/ practical demonstrations through tests for research purposes through the Team and Self
  • Organize Special Breathe Free campaigns to promote business for Cipla


4.Provide support to doctors on the usage techniques of respiratory diagnosis and treatment devices by conducting demos, to promote device usage and sales.


  • Ensure regular field visits to doctors, clinicians, chest physicians, general physicians, hospitals etc. are conducted
  • together with respective territorial FLM
  • Provide latest information and continues device demo programs for doctors and other stakeholders
  • Through team Influence the doctors to prescribe Cipla devices by doing continues device demo programs
  • Provide support and training (when required) to doctors on correctly interpreting the spirometer/ device readings


5.Ensure the Breathe Free Clinics are organized to provide


  • Demonstrations to patients on the usage techniques of respiratory devices & to enhance awareness
  • Detailed information regarding the respiratory disease and diagnosis support to medical practitioners with the available devices.


Guide BFE Team to

  • Conduct Breathe Free clinics regularly to educate the patients on various respiratory-related diseases thru device demonstration & liaise with the medical delegates as required.
  • carry out adequate demos to counsel patients on usage and maintenance techniques for respiratory devices.
  • Provide accurate readings derived from Peak Flow Meters and Spirometers to the doctors, to identify respiratory diseases and thereby recommend an appropriate medication
  • Diagnose respiratory conditions of the patients who are currently taking prescribed medication and report recovery progress to medical practitioners.


6.Ensure the BFE supports the BF & Other Chemists to Drive relationships with chemists by providing required device training support, to facilitate device sales by Pharmacy Relationship Managers.


  • Ensure the BFE Team conducts regular visits to chemists to provide device demos.
  • Liaise with the PRMS and chemists to understand the latest market trends for respiratory devices, competitor devices, Cipla device sales, user feedback on devices, prescription preferences by doctors etc. to gauge the market and provide these inputs to the Product Manager and FLM to accordingly modify the sales strategy.


7.Strengthening Digital Platform


  • Enhance digital tool engagement across programs
  • Introduce digital KRAs and KPIs for performance tracking
  • Ensure at least 20% participant engagement through digital platforms


Educational qualifications:

Graduate preferably in the field of science


Relevant experience:

5 years of experience required on managing a respiratory breath free portfolio

Required good communication skills in local languages as appropriate to the region to liaise with local medical fraternity and patients.
