WFG is the private lending arm of Award Global Group, a well-established organization with a strong presence across the real estate and mortgage sectors in Australia. WFG specializes in providing flexible, fast, and tailored lending solutions, supporting brokers, developers, and borrowers across residential and commercial property markets.

Role Overview

This position requires a strong foundation in credit combined with a highly proactive operational and coordination mindset. The WFG Operations Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders involved in the private lending lifecycle. Acting as the central bridge between BDMs, brokers, funders, credit, valuers, and internal teams, this role ensures deals progress efficiently from origination through to settlement.

Specific Accountabilities

Stakeholder Management & Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison across internal and external stakeholders, including BDMs, brokers, funders, valuers, internal credit team and marketing teams.
  • Serve as the central communication hub, ensuring alignment, transparency, and timely updates across all parties.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with broker networks and funding partners.

Private Lending Operations

  • Coordinate with funders to ensure timely allocation of capital and deal execution.
  • Coordinate with valuer and ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, lending guidelines, and regulatory expectations within the Australian lending environment.

Credit & Deal Support

  • Monitor pipeline activity to ensure deal progression within agreed SLAs.
  • Work closely with the credit team, leveraging sound credit knowledge to facilitate deal structuring and assessment.
  • Act as a bridge between credit and front-line teams, translating credit requirements into actionable steps for brokers and BDMs.

Process Optimization & Leadership

  • Drive operational efficiency improvements across workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing scalable processes.
  • Provide leadership across operational coordination functions, ensuring consistency and accountability.
  • Support the development of best practices for private lending operations

Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare and deliver regular pipeline, performance, and risk reports to senior management.
  • Provide insights on deal flow, conversion rates, and operational performance.
  • Support strategic decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

Cross Functional Alignment

  • Work collaboratively with marketing to ensure aligned messaging and smooth campaign execution.
  • Ensure consistent communication across all departments to support business growth objectives.

Key Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in credit or lending, preferably within private lending, non-bank lending, or mortgage environments.
  • Strong understanding of Australian lending practices, credit policies, and deal structuring.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end loan processes and stakeholder coordination.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven operational mindset with the ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capability and influence outcomes across teams.
