Office Time: 7am to 4pm (Mon-Fri)

As a Business Development Intern, you will support the team in researching market trends, identifying potential partners, and assisting in lead generation activities. This role offers hands-on exposure to the fintech and payments industry, with opportunities to shadow senior managers, contribute to partnership discussions, and gain practical experience in sales and business development operations.
- Conduct research on global payment behaviors, emerging fintech trends, and remittance corridors.
- Perform competitive analysis on traditional money transfer operators (MTOs) and digital-first competitors.
- Identify potential partners such as payout networks, banks, or retail aggregators.
- Qualify leads and build prospect lists using various tools.
- Draft and personalize cold outreach emails/messages to initiate partnership discussions.
- Assist in creating pitch decks, proposals, and sales collateral tailored to regional markets.
- Shadow senior BD managers on discovery calls and capture key action points.
- Help calculate ROI analyses (“business cases”) for potential high-value B2B customers.
- Prepare weekly performance reports and dashboards to track lead conversion metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Basic numerical literacy to interpret sales metrics and financial data trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); willingness to learn other software.
- Proactive interest in fintech, cross-border payments, or blockchain-based remittance solutions.
