This is a full-time on-site Accounts Assistant role located in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department by managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records. The role involves handling accounting transactions, reconciliations, compliance-related tasks, and financial documentation to support smooth financial operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily accounting records and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment documentation.
  • Manage petty cash and perform regular cash reconciliations.
  • Assist in TDS, VAT, and other statutory compliance-related activities.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and verify financial records.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper documentation of assets.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain proper filing and record management of financial documents.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial information.
  • Support audit requirements and ensure timely availability of required financial records.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in accounting, finance, or related roles will be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and record management.
  • Experience in invoicing, bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge of TDS, VAT, and regulatory compliance requirements will be an advantage.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or financial sector will be preferred.
