Role Description This is a full-time, on-site South Korea Education Counselor role based in Kathmandu. The South Korea Education Counselor will guide students interested in studying in South Korea, helping them choose appropriate programs, universities, and cities based on their academic profile, career plans, and financial considerations. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, organizing information sessions, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of South Korean universities, admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and visa processes. The counselor will prepare and review application documents, assist with statement of purpose and documentation, and coordinate with universities or partner institutions as needed. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, following up with leads, providing regular updates to students and families, and collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality student services.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Educational Consulting and Student Counseling, particularly for students planning to study in South Korea.
  • Proficiency in Career Counseling and a solid understanding of Education systems, academic pathways, and international study options.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English; knowledge of Korean language is an advantage.
  • Ability to build trust with students and families, with a student-centered, ethical, and inclusive counseling approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in overseas education consulting or university admissions counseling is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in handling applications and documentation.
  • Comfort working with digital tools and CRM or student management systems to track and manage student cases.
