Student Counselor (Telemarketing & Sales Focused)
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and target-driven Student Counselor with strong telemarketing and sales skills. The role involves handling student inquiries, actively following up with leads through calls/messages, and converting prospects into enrollments. Along with counseling responsibilities, the candidate should be comfortable with outbound communication and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound calls to potential students (telemarketing focus)
Act as the first point of contact for course inquiries (calls, WhatsApp, email)
Follow up consistently with leads to convert inquiries into enrollments
Explain courses, schedules, and benefits to prospective students
Support onboarding, orientation, and batch coordination
Maintain student records, CRM data, and lead status updates
Coordinate with trainers and internal teams for smooth class operations
Track attendance, engagement, and student progress
Collect feedback and support retention activities
Achieve monthly enrollment and conversion targets
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (completed or pursuing) in Business, IT, or related field
Minimum 1 year experience in telemarketing, sales, customer service, or student counseling
Strong communication and convincing skills (phone-based sales experience preferred)
Comfortable with outbound calling and lead follow-ups
Sales-driven mindset with ability to meet targets
Good organizational and reporting skills
Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and CRM/email tools
Confident, persuasive, and student-friendly approach
Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment
