Job Summary:

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Associate IT Engineer. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations, including office IT setup, network management, and system administration. Working closely with our IT and engineering teams, you'll help ensure smooth functioning of end-user devices, network infrastructure, and internal systems, while also contributing to the security and reliability of our overall IT environment.


Job Description:

As an Associate IT Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment for end users.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS, for both desktop and server environments.
  • Installing, updating, and troubleshooting antivirus software and other endpoint protection tools to keep company devices secure.
  • Managing endpoint security solutions, including deploying agents, monitoring device compliance, applying security policies, and responding to alerts on user devices.
  • Operating and maintaining IT monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, and Cacti to track system health, network performance, server uptime, and security events, ensuring timely alerts and reporting to the IT team.
  • Responding to user support and help desk requests in a timely and professional manner, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Assisting with user account management, including creating, modifying, and deactivating accounts in Active Directory, email systems, and other business applications.
  • Supporting patch management and software updates across Windows, Linux, and macOS systems to ensure devices remain current and secure.
  • Monitoring basic IT systems and reporting any unusual activity, performance issues, or potential security concerns to the IT team.
  • Managing and maintaining CCTV systems, including monitoring camera feeds, troubleshooting hardware issues, reviewing footage when required, and ensuring continuous recording and storage.
  • Administering access door control systems, including issuing and revoking access cards, configuring user permissions, and troubleshooting door controllers and readers.
  • Assisting with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of networking equipment, including wireless access points (APs), switches, and firewalls.
  • Supporting basic network troubleshooting tasks such as VLAN setup, IP address management, Wi-Fi coverage checks, and firewall rule adjustments under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Communicating and coordinating with external vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement, warranty claims, technical support, on-site service visits, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with IT team members to document procedures, maintain inventory records of IT assets and network equipment, and improve internal support processes.
  • Assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware provisioning, software setup, access card issuance, and basic user training.
  • Providing first-level support for cloud-based applications and productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace).
  • Researching and staying up-to-date on common IT issues, networking tools, security practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve technical skills.


Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Education: Candidates who have completed their +2 degree are eligible to apply
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in IT engineering and cloud security.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT and cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Programming Languages: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Security Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, MCSE are a plus.
  • Operating System: Strong Linux and Windows system administration background.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, ability to work within cross-functional teams, and excellent communication skills.
