We are seeking a talented and motivated Video Editing Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship focused on high-engagement YouTube storytelling and digital media production. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in long-form video editing and content research.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and edit engaging 8-15 minute YouTube videos from raw footage and archival clips.
- Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to find unique facts, verify details, and relevant sources or social media assets.
- Implement advanced editing techniques (transitions, text overlays, and sound design) to maximize viewer retention.
- Ensure all sourced materials (videos, photos, and music) adhere to Fair Use guidelines and YouTube’s copyright policies to avoid strikes.
- Ensure all videos meet technical standards for color, audio levels, and export settings.
Qualifications:
- Must have training or basic practical experience in video editing and motion graphics in a related field.
- Proficient in video editing software.
- Strong storytelling skills with an understanding of how to build a narrative through visuals.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to find credible sources within internet subcultures.
