Position: Senior Technical Business Analyst
About the Job
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. This role will involve conducting in-depth market research, documenting business requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Management: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders. Create detailed requirement specifications and use cases.
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze and document business requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and feasibility.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with software architects and developers to design solutions that meet client requirements while adhering to technical constraints.
- Testing Support: Assist in defining test cases and participate in quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes to validate that solutions meet requirements.
- Change Management: Manage and communicate changes to project scope, timelines, and requirements effectively.
- Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Analyze market data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including business process models, data flow diagrams, and system requirements specifications.
- Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Develop recommendations for process enhancements.
- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers and development teams to ensure that business requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project progress and measure success: Monitor project development against established metrics and KPIs. Identify risks and roadblocks and recommend solutions to ensure the project stays on track.
- Enhance User Experience (UX): Work closely with UI/UX designers to improve customer experience.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, building strong relationships and managing expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to drive continuous improvement within the organization.
Requirements:
- 4 to 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the software development industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and data analysis (e.g. SQL, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Proven ability to gather and document requirements clearly and concisely.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with various business analysis methodologies and techniques.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bonus points if you have:
- Proven experience working with Azure DevOps, Microsoft’s collaborative software development platform.
- A track record of successfully leading and mentoring teams of business analysts or project team members.
- Previous experience in software development, whether professionally or through personal projects.
