Job Description

Sterling Wells Nepal is the operational hub of a UK-based group of chartered certified accountancy firms and fintech companies, including UK Property Accountants, Sterling & Wells, Crane & Partners, FigsFlow, RentalBux, Taxule, and PropertySPV. We support thousands of clients across 50+ countries and oversee accounting for $8B+ in assets.

We are growing rapidly across multiple products and entities in the UK, Nepal, India, and the US, each with its own compliance, currency, and reporting requirements. We are looking for a Head of Finance to lead the financial engine of the group in a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.

What you’ll own

  • Multi-entity financial management across group entities in the UK, US, Nepal, and India, ensuring accurate, timely, and consolidated reporting.
  • Monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and financial KPIs that support leadership decision-making.
  • Group cash flow and treasury management across GBP, NPR, INR, and USD, with a strong focus on working capital and liquidity planning.
  • Transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements across the UK, US, Nepal, and India.
  • Annual budgeting and rolling forecasts in partnership with department heads.
  • Coordination with external auditors and tax advisers in each jurisdiction to ensure statutory filings, audits, and tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
  • VC-readiness, including investor-grade financial reporting, reporting infrastructure, and data room preparation.
  • Revenue, margin, and unit economics tracking across software products including FigsFlow, RentalBux, and PropertySPV, distinct from advisory revenue.
  • Leadership of the internal finance and operations team, with responsibility for building a finance function that scales.
  • Financial controls, approval workflows, and risk management frameworks appropriate for a multi-jurisdiction group.

You will work closely with the CEO on strategic financial decisions and become the natural counterpart to a future Group CFO as the company scales.

What we need

  • Qualified accountant — CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification; this is essential.
  • 6+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-entity or multi-jurisdiction financial management and consolidation.
  • Strong management accounting capability, with the ability to produce management accounts that drive decisions, not just compliance.
  • Experience managing cash flow across multiple currencies.
  • Solid understanding of transfer pricing principles and intercompany arrangements.
  • Proficiency with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets capability and confidence with financial modelling.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to present financial information clearly to senior leadership and investors.
  • Experience in professional services, fintech, SaaS, or technology businesses is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience preparing financial reporting for VC or institutional investors.
  • Familiarity with International Accounting Standards.
  • Experience with SaaS or software-product revenue recognition and unit economics.
  • Background in Big 4 or mid-tier audit firms before moving into industry.
  • Knowledge of Nepal tax legislation, TDS, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools in finance operations.
  • Familiarity with BI tools or financial dashboards such as Power BI, Metabase, or similar.

What makes this role different

  • This is not a routine reporting role; it is a strategic Head of Finance position with broad ownership.
  • You will report directly to the CEO and have visibility across every part of the business.
  • You will oversee finance for a group spanning accountancy, tax advisory, and multiple software products.
  • The role brings genuine complexity across countries, currencies, entities, and growth stages.
  • You will help build the financial infrastructure needed for future institutional fundraising and long-term scale.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary package based on experience and qualification.
  • International working environment with genuine multi-jurisdiction exposure.
  • Access to Sterling Wells Academy, LinkedIn Learning, and structured development programmes.
  • At least one month of total working time dedicated to training and development annually.
  • Clear growth trajectory as the group scales and the finance function expands.
  • Five-day working week, with Saturday and Sunday off.
  • Daily office lunch, paid annual leave, and sick leave.
  • Accident and medical insurance coverage.
  • Regular team-building activities and cultural events.

If you are a qualified accountant who wants to run finance for a fast-scaling international group, not just close the books, this is your role.

Apply with your CV and a brief note on the most complex financial challenge you have managed and how you solved it.
