Key Responsibilities:
As a Bio-Medical Engineer, your primary role will be to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and compliance of all medical equipment and systems used across the hospital.

Equipment Management & Maintenance
Oversee installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of medical devices and diagnostic equipment.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
Ensure minimal equipment downtime and quick turnaround on repairs.
Technical Evaluation & Procurement
Assist in evaluating technical specifications and performance of new equipment during procurement.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Support purchase decisions with cost-benefit and compatibility analysis.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure that all equipment adheres to national and international regulatory and safety standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for medical devices.
Stay updated with new biomedical regulations, technologies, and best practices.
Support & Training
Provide technical training and guidance to clinical staff on the safe use of equipment.
Offer immediate technical support during equipment failures or emergencies.
Maintain inventory of biomedical tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Documentation & Reporting
Keep accurate documentation of maintenance logs, calibration reports, and performance metrics.
Generate periodic reports for hospital management regarding equipment performance, costs, and risks.
Coordinate with quality assurance and audit teams for compliance reviews.
Collaboration
Work closely with clinical, IT, and facility management departments to optimize equipment integration.
Participate in equipment planning for new departments or service expansions.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field with certified license.
Priority will be given to experienced candidates in a hospital or clinical setting.
Freshers can also apply.
Proficient knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment.
Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software aspects of medical devices.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with equipment standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, CE, FDA).
Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and respond to urgent issues.
Strong communication skills in both English and Nepali.
