Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Hydromechanical Engineer to oversee, coordinate, and manage hydromechanical equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities at project sites. The role requires strong mechanical engineering knowledge, site execution capability, and the ability to work closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor installation activities of hydromechanical systems and equipment at project sites.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and site teams for smooth execution of mechanical works.
  • Ensure proper installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of hydromechanical equipment.
  • Inspect equipment and systems to ensure compliance with approved designs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Monitor site progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports.
  • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Verify material quality, equipment specifications, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities of mechanical systems.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards at the site.
  • Maintain proper documentation including inspection reports, checklists, and work records.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams for resolving technical issues.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in hydromechanical systems, mechanical installations, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, piping systems, gates, valves, pumps, turbines, and related systems.
  • Experience with site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Willingness to work at project sites.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of hydropower, water resources, or heavy mechanical projects.
  • Familiarity with quality control and safety procedures.
  • Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation tools.
