Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleaning, scaling, polishing, and other preventive oral hygiene procedures as permitted by professional scope.
- Assist dentists during examinations, procedures, and other clinical activities when required.
- Assess patients' oral hygiene conditions and identify areas requiring attention.
- Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, oral hygiene practices, and preventive dental care.
- Provide patients with appropriate oral hygiene instructions based on their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of dental hygiene procedures and patient information.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
- Follow proper sterilization, infection-control, and clinical safety procedures.
- Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any concerns or abnormalities to the dentist.
- Support patient education and awareness programs related to oral and dental health.
