Applicants can expect a student-focused environment committed to empowering individuals through international education opportunities.Role Description The Education Counsellor South Korea internship role is an on-site position based at Self Apply Center in Kathmandu. Interns will support students interested in studying abroad, with a focus on opportunities relevant to South Korean education pathways and coordination with US/Canada counseling services. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with students, understanding their academic background and goals, and guiding them through university selection, scholarship options, and visa-related processes. The role involves preparing informational materials, assisting with documentation checks, organizing counseling sessions and workshops, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions. Interns will collaborate with the counseling team to ensure consistent, high-quality guidance and may contribute ideas to improve counseling processes and student outreach.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide Educational Consulting and Student Counseling tailored to individual student goals.
- Strong Communication skills for clear, empathetic interaction with students, families, and team members.
- Interest or experience in Career Counseling and Education guidance for international study pathways.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Korean or other languages is an advantage.
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in handling applications and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Genuine interest in supporting students and maintaining a professional, inclusive, and ethical counseling approach.
