Job Description
Position: Junior VDC Architect
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Days: Monday - Friday (9:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update accurate architectural BIM models using Revit.
- Support architectural design development and construction documentation.
- Model architectural elements including walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, and other building components.
- Prepare and update architectural plans, sections, elevations, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Review architectural models and drawings to identify clashes, coordination issues, and potential design conflicts.
- Coordinate architectural models with Structural and MEP disciplines.
- Update models based on coordination comments, design changes, and project requirements.
- Support model reviews, coordination meetings, and architectural coordination activities.
- Maintain accurate levels, grids, scope, and model information.
- Apply appropriate LOD (Level of Development) requirements based on project needs.
- Consider tolerances, clearances, spatial coordination, and constructability while developing models.
- Support architectural submission milestones and project deliverables.
- Follow project standards and relevant safety requirements.
- Work closely with senior engineers and project teams to deliver coordinated project outputs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in architectural VDC, BIM, or related projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Engineering License / relevant professional certification.
- Understanding of BIM beyond 3D modeling and familiarity with LOD.
- Understanding of MEP coordination with Architectural & Structural disciplines
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, sections, elevations, and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with shop drawings and as-built documentation.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards related to MEP installation.
- Good understanding of architectural elements and construction project stages.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work effectively with senior team members.
