Job Description
About TasveerTasveer is Nepal's premier visual storytelling media production house, specializing in photography, videography, cinematic storytelling, documentaries, and digital content production. Established in 2012 and building upon a legacy of visual documentation since 1994, Tasveer creates meaningful visual content that informs, inspires, and connects.
Today, Tasveer is evolving into a multi-vertical media ecosystem with six distinct business units:
- Studio: Professional photography and videography production services.
- Academy: Creative education and workforce development.
- Wedding: Cinematic wedding photography and videography.
- Talk: A podcast featuring legends, entrepreneurs, and upcoming artists.
- Tech: Media technology solutions and equipment rentals.
- Documentary: Long-form storytelling and funded projects.
We are looking for a visionary Director of Sales & Marketing to orchestrate the commercial success of these six verticals. This role is critical—you will be the commercial architect who translates Tasveer’s artistic legacy into sustainable revenue streams.
Your primary mission is to unify the brand narrative while diversifying the revenue portfolio. You will build the go-to-market strategy for B2B corporate clients (Studio/Documentary), B2C premium consumers (Wedding), student enrollments (Academy), tech rentals (Tech), and IP monetization/sponsorships (Talk/Documentary).
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal (with potential travel)
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: CEO
Employment Type: Full-Time
1. Vertical-Specific Go-To-Market Strategy
- Studio & Documentary: Develop a robust B2B sales pipeline targeting corporate houses, INGOs, NGOs, government bodies, and international production houses looking to shoot in Nepal.
- Wedding: Position Tasveer as the premium, luxury choice for high-end weddings. Create a high-touch sales journey for discerning clients.
- Academy: Design aggressive enrollment and partnership marketing strategies to attract aspiring filmmakers and photographers, positioning the Academy as the premier creative institution in Nepal.
- Talk & Documentary: Develop sponsorship packages, brand integration deals, and distribution partnerships to monetize original content and IP.
- Tech: Drive utilization rates for equipment rental and technology solution packages to production houses and freelancers.
2. Brand Positioning & Narrative Control
- Elevate the "Tasveer" master brand from a "service provider" to a "cultural institution" in the South Asian creative landscape.
- Ensure a cohesive visual identity and tone of voice across all six verticals, balancing artistic integrity with commercial appeal.
- Manage public relations and media outreach to highlight Tasveer’s legacy (since 1994) and future-forward vision.
3. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
- Recruit, train, and lead a hybrid sales team (B2B Account Executives, Wedding Consultants, Academy Enrollment Advisors).
- Implement a CRM system (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce) to manage leads across all verticals and ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks.
- Personally lead negotiations on high-value documentary co-productions and large-scale corporate retainers.
4. Digital Growth & Lead Generation
- Oversee the digital marketing strategy to drive lead generation: SEO for "Wedding Cinematography Nepal," paid ads for Academy enrollment, and content marketing leveraging the "Talk" podcast to build brand authority.
- Grow the audience base for "Talk" and "Documentary" verticals to increase sponsorship valuation.
5. Financial Stewardship
- Own the consolidated revenue budget for all six verticals.
- Optimize Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) across B2B and B2C segments.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly revenue forecasts to the executive team.
Experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development.
- 3+ years in a leadership role, preferably within the Media, Creative Services, Education, or Luxury Hospitality sectors.
- Proven experience managing a diverse portfolio of products or services (B2B and B2C).
- Demonstrated success in scaling a creative business in the Nepali market, with a strong network of corporate and institutional contacts.
Skills & Competencies
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to price intangible creative services and justify premium value to clients.
- Narrative Selling: You don't just sell "video"; you sell "impact," "legacy," and "storytelling."
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to collaborate with creative directors, cinematographers, and educators to align commercial goals with creative excellence.
- Data Literacy: Comfortable using analytics to measure the ROI of marketing campaigns across different verticals.
- Communication: Fluent in English and Nepali; exceptional presentation skills for pitching to international clients.
Personal Attributes
- Deep appreciation for visual arts and storytelling.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—you are comfortable building processes from the ground up.
- Resilient and adaptable; comfortable working in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Revenue Growth: Year-over-year revenue increase for Tasveer as a whole, with specific targets for Studio, Academy, Wedding, and Tech.
- Enrollment Rates: Student intake numbers for the Academy per quarter.
- Sponsorship Revenue: Dollars generated from "Talk" and "Documentary" brand partnerships.
- Lead Conversion: Conversion rate from inquiry to booking for Wedding and Studio clients.
- Brand Equity: Growth in social media reach, podcast listens, and documentary viewership.
- Legacy & Impact: The chance to build upon a 30-year legacy of visual documentation in Nepal.
- Creative Autonomy: The freedom to innovate and experiment across multiple media formats.
- Competitive Compensation: [Base Salary + Performance Bonuses/Commissions based on vertical profitability].
- Creative Perks: Access to state-of-the-art equipment, attendance at major international film/photo festivals, and a vibrant creative network.
- Growth: Opportunity to grow into a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) role as Tasveer scales regionally.
