About Husig

Husig (Human Signal Pvt. Ltd.) is an AI and data solutions consultancy based in Kathmandu, Nepal, building products and engineering teams for clients across compliance automation, conversational AI, data annotation, and real estate AI. This role sits on Husig’s engineering team, engaged directly with TixFix, one of Husig’s clients, to stand up their end-to-end quality automation function.

About TixFix

TixFix is a modern event and ticketing platform — discovery, ticketing, payments, marketing, and check-in in one product, with iOS, Android, and web apps used by real organizers and attendees today. TixFix ships fast across a modern, polyglot stack and is building out the QA function to match, with Husig engineers embedded in that effort.

Team: Engineering / Quality

• Timezone: ~4–5 hrs daily overlap with US Pacific (TixFix HQ is San Francisco)
• Reports to: Director of Cloud & Devops (TixFix), with Husig engagement lead support
  
  

Why This Role Exists

TixFix already has a solid unit and integration foundation (280+ tests across the backend), Allure reporting, and CI on GitHub Actions. What’s missing is a first-class end-to-end automation framework that exercises real user journeys across API, web, and mobile and gates every release. You will own building that from the ground up — with an automation-first mindset, not by grinding manual test cases.

This is a builder role. If you want to design a framework, not just write cases inside someone else’s, read on.

The Stack You’ll Be Testing

High-stakes surfaces you’ll prioritize: Stripe checkout + wallet top-up + promo/credit paths (real money), Google/Apple auth + JWT sessions, and the event lifecycle (create → publish → buy ticket → QR check-in).

Key Responsibilities

E2E Framework & Architecture

• Design and build the E2E automation framework for web and API from scratch — recommend and stand up the tooling (Playwright is the leaning for cross-browser web + API), define architecture, page objects/fixtures, test data seeding, and environment strategy
• Extend backend E2E (Jest + supertest today) into reliable, isolated suites with seeded MongoDB state and Stripe test-mode flows
  
  

Money Paths & Auth

• Automate the money paths and auth first — checkout, top-up, promo codes, refunds, Google/Apple Sign-In, JWT expiry/refresh. These are where bugs cost real money
  
  

CI/CD & Reporting

• Wire everything into CI — GitHub Actions, parallel execution, sharding, retry/flake control, and Allure dashboards; add smoke/regression gates and post-deploy canary checks
  
  

Mobile & Specialized Layers

• Own mobile E2E — Flutter integration_test and/or a device-cloud approach for the organizer + attendee apps
• Add specialized layers over time: API contract tests, visual regression, basic load/perf (e.g. k6), and accessibility checks (WCAG)
• Grow the security regression suite alongside the existing security e2e (auth guards, IDOR, input validation)
  
  

Quality Advocacy

• Be the quality voice — define release quality gates, triage and advocate for bugs with clear repros, and partner with the San Francisco engineering team through crisp written communication
  
  

Must-Have

• 3+ years in test automation / SDET, with a framework you can point to and say “I built that”
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript — you write real code, not just record-and-playback
• Hands-on with a modern E2E framework (Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent) and API testing (supertest, Postman/Newman, or REST clients)
• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions preferred) and comfort with Git, Docker, and reading application code (NestJS/React) to test it well
• Solid testing fundamentals: test design, the test pyramid, flake diagnosis, coverage vs. risk trade-offs, isolated/idempotent test data
• Professional English (written + verbal) and reliable overlap with US Pacific hours
  
  

Nice-to-Have

• NestJS + MongoDB, Vitest/Jest, or React internals
• Mobile automation — Flutter integration_test, Appium, Maestro, or a device cloud (BrowserStack/Sauce)
• Allure reporting, AWS, Stripe test-mode flows, contract testing (Pact), load testing (k6/Gatling), or security testing (OWASP, Burp)
• Experience standing up a QA function or E2E framework at an early-stage / startup

Someone Who Thinks Like An Engineer And Moves Fast

• Automation-first — if a task is repetitive, your instinct is to script or delegate it, not do it by hand
• Tooling-savvy — you reach for modern developer and QA tooling to generate, maintain, and stabilize tests, and have the judgment to tell real signal from hype
• Pilots new QA approaches — self-healing locators, visual diffing, exploratory and automated regression — and adopts what actually works
• Comfortable with complex, data-driven, non-deterministic features (e.g. ranking and recommendations): golden sets, tolerance-based assertions, guarding against behavioral regressions
• Continuously improves — you sharpen both the framework and your own workflow every sprint
  
  

You don’t need to have mastered all of this. You need to be genuinely excited by it and already reaching for better tools.

First 90 Days

• 30 days: framework decision made and scaffolded; first E2E suite green in CI covering login + a core purchase flow; Allure reporting wired up
• 60 days: the critical money + auth paths automated and gating deploys; flake under control; a shared pattern the team can add tests to
• 90 days: web + API E2E coverage on all top journeys, a mobile E2E beachhead, and at least one repeatable test-generation or self-healing workflow in real use
