The team focuses on practical, step-by-step counseling designed to help students make informed decisions and successfully pursue their academic pathways.


Role Description The South Korea Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The counselor will guide students interested in studying in South Korea through the entire process, including career counseling, course and institution selection, and application documentation. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining admission and visa requirements, preparing and reviewing student files, and coordinating with universities or partners in South Korea. The role involves maintaining accurate records, following up with students and families, organizing information sessions, and providing timely updates on policy or procedure changes. The counselor will collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality service delivery and contribute to outreach and marketing activities related to South Korea study programs.


Qualifications

  • Strong student counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance on courses, universities, and career pathways related to South Korea.
  • Solid knowledge of South Korean education system, admission procedures, and visa requirements, or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply such information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in documentation, record-keeping, and follow-up activities.
  • Proficiency in using office productivity tools and basic digital platforms for research, documentation, and communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social sciences, business, or a related field; prior experience in education counseling or visa services is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Nepali; additional language skills related to South Korea are beneficial.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to providing equitable, student-centered support.
