Role Description The Sr Counselor – Australia or UK is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, focused on guiding prospective students through the process of studying in Australia and the United Kingdom. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual counseling sessions, understanding students’ academic backgrounds and career goals, and recommending suitable universities, programs, and pathways. The role involves supporting students with application forms, documentation, and admission requirements, as well as coordinating with partner institutions and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely information. The Sr Counselor will also participate in information sessions, outreach activities, and events, maintain detailed records in internal systems, and follow organizational guidelines and compliance standards. In this position, the counselor is expected to provide clear, unbiased advice and deliver high-quality service to students and families.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with experience guiding students on study abroad options for Australia and the UK.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, maintain organized documentation, and work accurately with deadlines and processes.
- Solid knowledge of international education systems, admission procedures, visa requirements, and compliance guidelines for Australia and the UK.
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and basic CRM or student management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field; prior experience in international education consulting is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to non-discriminatory, student-centered counseling.
- Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu and collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
