Role Description The Educational Counselor role at Study Global is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. The counselor will guide students through academic and career options, including programs, institutions, and destinations that support their global ambitions. Daily tasks include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing students’ interests and strengths, and providing clear information on admission requirements, application processes, and scholarship opportunities. The role involves organizing information sessions, maintaining accurate student records, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality educational consulting services. The counselor will also communicate regularly with students and families, offering ongoing support from initial inquiry through enrollment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong will on Educational Consulting and Education-related skills to advise on academic programs and global study pathways.
- Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in making informed academic and professional decisions.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication with students, families, and partners.
- Candidates should demonstrate active listening, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds and aspirations.
- Candidates should have good organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases and deadlines.
- A bachelor’s degree; prior experience in educational counseling or study-abroad advising is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international education systems, admission procedures, and visa processes will be beneficial.
