We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, support financial reporting, and ensure timely tax and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of accounting software, taxation, reconciliations, and financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting records, ledgers, vouchers, and financial documentation.
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales, purchases, cash, and bank transactions.
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, journal entries, and other accounting documents.
Perform regular bank, supplier, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain Trial Balance, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and other financial reports.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Handle VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory accounting requirements and ensure timely filing and payment.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and assist in collection and payment follow-ups.
Maintain proper records of inventory, expenses, fixed assets, and other financial transactions.
Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and financial information.
Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and applicable financial regulations.
Coordinate with banks, vendors, customers, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving financial and reconciliation issues.
Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
Job Specification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related discipline.
2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
Good knowledge of VAT, TDS, income tax, and Nepalese accounting practices.
Proficiency in Tally/ERP or other accounting software.
Good command of MS Excel and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred
Experience in handling complete accounting operations independently.
Experience with tax filing, audit preparation, and statutory compliance.
Candidates familiar with local business operations in Jhapa/Koshi Province will be preferred.
