Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should possess technical expertise in electrical systems, solar panel installation, and safety procedures while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial projects.
Install, configure, and commission solar inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and other related equipment.
Perform electrical wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of solar PV systems.
Conduct site inspections, system performance checks, and identify technical issues.
Diagnose and resolve faults in solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical components.
Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
Prepare installation and maintenance reports and maintain accurate service documentation.
Provide customers with guidance on the operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of solar systems.
Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
Travel to project sites both inside and outside Kathmandu Valley as required.
Job Specification
Sound knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and electrical wiring.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical drawings.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work at project sites both inside and outside Kathmandu Valley.
Valid motorcycle or scooter driving license is preferred.
Willingness to travel frequently for project assignments.
Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at heights when necessary.
Qualifications
Diploma, CTEVT certification, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in solar installation or electrical work is preferred.
Freshers with strong technical knowledge and relevant training are encouraged to apply.
