Job Description
The Shine Dental Clinic specializes in pediatric and special care dentistry, with a strong focus on supporting children with autism and sensory sensitivities. Role Description The Pediatric Dental Hygienist will provide comprehensive preventive dental care to children, including routine cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and patient education. Day-to-day tasks include performing dental prophylaxis, applying sealants and fluoride treatments, assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures, and maintaining strict infection control protocols. The hygienist will communicate clearly and calmly with children and caregivers, adapt care for patients with autism and sensory sensitivities, and contribute to a welcoming, child-centered clinical environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu, working closely with dentists and clinic staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for every child.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Dental Care and Dentistry, with a focus on pediatric and special care patients.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Dental Prophylaxis and Sealants as part of preventive care for children.
- Candidates should possess thorough knowledge of Infection Control and adherence to clinic safety and sterilization protocols.
- Relevant professional dental hygiene certification or licensure, aligned with local regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with children, including those with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other special needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with children and caregivers.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary dental team and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Commitment to ongoing learning in pediatric dentistry, behavior management, and patient-centered care.
