Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie (CDP) for our Nepali Restaurant 'The Himalayan Kitchen' under the brand Bagaichā, who takes pride in preparing authentic Nepali cuisine and is committed to maintaining excellence in every dish.

The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for managing a designated kitchen section and ensuring the timely preparation of high-quality dishes according to Bagaicha's recipes and standards. The CDP will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain food quality, hygiene, inventory control, and efficient kitchen operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook authentic Nepali dishes while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
  • Manage an assigned kitchen section independently.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to standardized recipes.
  • Maintain food quality, freshness, and portion control.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef of inventory requirements.
  • Minimize food waste through proper storage and stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants when required.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and used properly.
  • Assist in menu development and seasonal specials.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Support the Head Chef in achieving operational and quality goals.


RequirementsEducation
  • Culinary diploma or relevant professional culinary training is preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Commis Chef.
  • Experience in authentic Nepali cuisine is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-volume restaurant is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of Nepali food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
