The academy partners with hospitality businesses to provide career-focused education and support talent development in the sector.Role Description The Barista Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Baneshwor, responsible for training learners and staff in coffee preparation, equipment handling, and café service standards. Day-to-day tasks include delivering structured training sessions, demonstrating espresso and brewing techniques, and guiding learners through drink recipes and quality control. The role involves creating and updating training materials, monitoring trainee performance, providing constructive feedback, and supporting continuous skill development. The Barista Trainer also collaborates with academy staff to ensure training aligns with industry expectations and maintains a safe, professional learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Training & Development and Training skills to design, deliver, and evaluate effective barista training programs.
- Excellent Communication abilities to explain techniques clearly and provide supportive, actionable feedback.
- Solid Customer Service skills to model professional guest interactions and café service standards.
- Coaching skills to mentor learners, build confidence, and support their professional growth.
- Previous barista experience with espresso machines, grinders, milk texturing, and coffee recipes.
- Ability to work on-site in Baneshwor and manage groups in a practical training environment.
- Organizational skills for scheduling sessions, maintaining training records, and coordinating with academy staff.
- Experience in hospitality or vocational training is an advantage; relevant certifications in coffee or barista skills are a plus.
