Job Description

A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial operations and contribute to overall business growth. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, statutory compliance, risk management, cost optimization, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in manufacturing finance, and a proven ability to drive business performance.


Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA (Mandatory); MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and supply chain finance.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Present financial reports and performance analysis to the Board and senior management.
  • Maintain strong internal financial controls and reporting accuracy.

Cost & Manufacturing Finance

  • Lead product costing, cost analysis, and profitability assessments.
  • Monitor production costs, material consumption, labor costs, and overhead allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
  • Review inventory valuation and ensure effective inventory control.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning.
  • Oversee banking relationships, financing arrangements, and investment activities.
  • Ensure effective management of receivables, payables, and capital expenditure.
  • Optimize the company's capital structure and funding strategies.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Develop and maintain risk management policies and financial governance frameworks.
  • Ensure timely filing of statutory and regulatory reports.

Business Performance & Decision Support

  • Analyze financial performance and identify business improvement opportunities.
  • Support investment decisions through financial feasibility studies and business case evaluations.
  • Develop financial models to support expansion, capital investment, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key financial and operational KPIs.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.
  • Establish performance goals and support employee development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate effectively with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Sales, and Production departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing sectors such as FMCG, engineering, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Experience in ERP implementation or finance transformation projects.
  • Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, fundraising, or corporate restructuring will be an added advantage.
