Music Nepal is one of the country’s leading music and multimedia companies, dedicated to promoting Nepali music, culture, and entertainment. We produce high-quality audio–visual content for music videos, digital platforms, promotional campaigns, and branded entertainment. We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing team.
Purpose
The YouTube Manager is responsible for the strategic and efficient management of all audio-visual content across YouTube and other relevant content management systems (CMS) and social platforms. This includes ensuring timely uploads, strategic playlist curation, advanced SEO optimization, and rigorous tracking of social media analytics. This role is central to achieving the organization's digital marketing and promotional objectives through data-driven content management, campaign execution, and platform optimization. The Manager must proactively stay updated on platform changes and industry trends to continuously adapt strategies, enhance audience reach, and improve engagement.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Content Operations & Optimization
- Content Management: Upload, schedule, and manage all audio-visual content across YouTube and CMS, ensuring the use of accurate metadata, high-quality thumbnails, and adherence to SEO best practices for maximum organic visibility.
- Playlist Strategy: Strategically maintain and update music/video playlists on YouTube and other streaming platforms, incorporating seasonal, trending, and audience-preferred content to maximize view time and listener/viewer retention.
- Monetization & Compliance: Manage YouTube monetization channels, ensuring strict compliance with platform policies and copyright (Content ID) regulations, and developing effective revenue generation strategies.
- Feature Utilization: Proactively optimize content for new platform features like YouTube Shorts, community posts, and other emerging formats to significantly boost reach and audience engagement.
Analytics, Reporting, and Strategy
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct daily monitoring of social media and YouTube performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, views, Click-Through Rate (CTR), watch time).
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare regular, in-depth performance reports, translating data into actionable insights for content and platform optimization.
- Strategic Adaptation: Conduct continuous research on competitor activity, platform algorithm changes, and audience preferences to inform and strategically adapt the content calendar and promotional approach.
- Innovation & Improvement: Implement and report on at least one new, data-driven recommendation per quarter based on research or performance insights to drive measurable improvement in content performance.
- Strategy Refinement: Utilize advanced YouTube data analysis to continually refine the overall content strategy and improve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Marketing, Campaign & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Digital Campaign Support: Support the execution of digital marketing activities, including campaign scheduling, preparation of content assets, and performance tracking across various channels.
- Promotional Delivery: Coordinate and deliver promotional content/assets to radio stations, media partners, and external channels, ensuring timely execution and alignment with overarching marketing campaigns.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in integrated campaign meetings, providing expert input and coordinating with cross-functional teams (radio, campaign, creative) to ensure complete alignment between content production and promotional efforts.
- Creative Input: Prepare and contribute to comprehensive creative briefs that support upcoming content releases, brand promotions, and overall branding efforts.
Community & Platform Expertise
- Audience Engagement: Actively engage with the YouTube community, professionally responding to comments, moderating discussions, and fostering a positive and interactive environment.
- Creator Relations: Collaborate closely with artists, creators, and internal teams to develop content strategies that maximize brand visibility and authenticity.
- Platform Expertise: Proactively stay updated with all major YouTube, social media, and digital marketing platform updates and algorithm changes, and be ready to adopt emerging tools and best practices.
Administrative & Reporting
- Workflow Efficiency: Maintain high responsiveness to team and cross-departmental requests, ensuring efficient workflow and seamless alignment across all content-related tasks.
- Accountability: Report directly to the supervisor, focusing on performance against agreed-upon Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Content Protection: Take necessary steps to protect content from unauthorized re-use and copyright infringement.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other assigned tasks related to digital promotion, content management, or platform support as directed by the supervisor.
