Barista

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light refreshments while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, smoothies, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other bar equipment properly.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments when required.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, taste, and portion standards.
• Keep the bar, equipment, counters, and customer service areas clean and organized.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, ingredients, cups, and other supplies and report shortages.
• Follow proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Handle customer requests, feedback, and complaints professionally.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and equipment checks.
• Minimize wastage and ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients.
• Work closely with other café and restaurant staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

• Minimum +2 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Barista or in a café/restaurant environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, coffee brewing methods, and basic latte art is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented personality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of different coffee varieties and brewing techniques.
