The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions that support Batas Hire Purchase's digital systems and business operations. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications while ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering reliable software solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions for our digital banking platform
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in a timely manner
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices
Continuously improve the performance and scalability of our applications
Communicate project status and escalate any issues to the Head of Department
Contribute to the overall improvement of the development process and team productivity
Job Specification
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
2–5 years of professional experience as a full stack developer
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Frontend: JavaScript, React.js
Programming languages: C#, Python, Node.js
Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Experience with React Native or Flutter is a strong plus
Comfortable working with REST APIs and version control (Git)
Experience in fintech, banking, or NBFC environments is a plus but not required
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali
Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a small, fast-moving, early-stage team
Self-directed and able to deliver as a contractor/consultant with minimal oversight
