Job Description
Location: The primary work location is Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, with weekly visits to Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. The role also requires regular field visits to corporate clients and project sites.
Job Summary
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for identifying, pitching, converting, and supporting retention of business clients for Doko Recyclers’ core service verticals—shredding services, e-waste management, and corporate recycling solutions.
The role focuses primarily on new client acquisition and deal closure, while also ensuring a smooth early-stage relationship with onboarded clients to support repeat services, renewals, and long-term value creation.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Conversion
- Identify and approach potential corporate, institutional, and commercial clients for:
- Shredding services
- E-waste collection and recycling
- Corporate recycling and waste management solutions
- Generate leads through market research, networking, referrals, cold outreach, and field visits.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and service pitches tailored to client needs.
- Clearly communicate Doko Recyclers’ value proposition, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact.
- Convert leads into confirmed service contracts and onboard new clients.
Proposal Development & Deal Closure
- Conduct basic waste assessments or requirement analysis for prospective clients.
- Prepare customized proposals, quotations, and service scopes based on sector needs.
- Coordinate internally to finalize pricing, timelines, and operational feasibility.
- Actively follow up with prospects to move them through the pipeline and close deals.
Client Retention & Growth Support
- Maintain post-conversion follow-ups during the initial service phase to ensure client satisfaction.
- Support repeat service bookings, service extensions, and basic contract renewals.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling or upselling services (e.g., adding shredding or e-waste to existing recycling clients).
- Collect basic client feedback and share insights with internal teams to improve service delivery.
Market & Sector Focus
- Target key sectors such as:
- Corporate offices and headquarters
- Banks, IT companies, and financial institutions
- Manufacturing units
- Educational institutions
- Hospitality and commercial facilities
- Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities in recycling and compliance-driven services.
Reporting & Internal Coordination
- Maintain a structured pipeline of leads, conversions, and repeat clients.
- Prepare regular sales and retention reports.
- Coordinate with operations and accounts teams to ensure smooth service handover and continuity.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or B2B services
- (Experience in waste management, sustainability, or compliance-driven services is an advantage.)
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable with fieldwork, client meetings, and target-oriented roles.
- Ability to understand technical services and explain them clearly to corporate clients.
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and well-organized.
- Good documentation, reporting, and coordination skills.
