Role Description & Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager specializing in Mivan Aluminium Formwork, located in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of high-rise residential structural works using Mivan Aluminium Formwork, with a strong focus on cycle time management, drawings coordination, quality control, and MEP integration. The role demands hands-on site leadership and the ability to coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure error-free execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Mivan Aluminium Formwork Execution
· Plan and manage Mivan aluminium formwork systems for high-rise construction.
· Achieve and maintain defined pour cycles per floor through effective planning and coordination.
· Supervise: Formwork assembly & alignment, Reinforcement fixing, Concreting & de-shuttering
· Ensure proper handling, stacking, reuse, and maintenance of Mivan shutters.
· Minimise shutter damage and cycle delays.
2. Drawings Coordination (Critical Responsibility)
· Act as the central coordination authority for: Architectural drawings, Structural drawings, MEP drawings (Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting)
· Review and ensure GFC / IFC drawings are frozen prior to execution.
· Identify and resolve drawing clashes related to: Openings, Sleeves, Electrical boxes, Plumbing lines, Shafts and service ducts
· Conduct pre-pour coordination meetings with civil, MEP, and QA teams.
· Ensure no post-casting cutting or hacking in Mivan walls and slabs.
3. Quality Control & Technical Compliance
· Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
· Implement checklists before shutter closing and before concreting.
· Monitor: Verticality and alignment, Surface finish quality, Dimensional accuracy, Prevention of honeycombing
· Coordinate with QA/QC engineers and testing laboratories.
4. MEP Integration & Embed Planning
· Ensure all MEP embeds, conduits, sleeves, and boxes are placed correctly before concreting.
· Coordinate with MEP contractors to align installation schedules with pour cycles.
· Prevent rework due to missing or incorrect embed placement.
5. Site Management & Leadership
· Lead site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
· Plan daily and weekly manpower deployment in line with construction cycles.
· Ensure productivity, discipline, and adherence to project timelines.
· Resolve site issues proactively and escalate risks in advance.
6. Planning, Reporting & Coordination
· Prepare and monitor weekly and monthly execution plans.
· Track progress against schedules and implement recovery plans when required.
· Coordinate with billing and planning teams for accurate progress reporting.
· Submit regular progress, risk, and coordination reports to management.
7. Safety & Compliance
· Enforce safety practices related to: High-rise works, Formwork erection and dismantling, Working at heights, Concreting operations
· Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and site safety standards.
· Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections.
8. Interface with Finishing Works
· Deliver structurally accurate floors to finishing teams.
· Support finishing contractors by ensuring: Proper alignment, Minimal deviations, Accurate openings and dimensions
· Assist in resolving any structural or coordination issues during finishing stages.
Qualification Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
Experience Requirements
· Minimum 15 years of overall construction experience
· Minimum10 years of direct experience in Mivan Aluminium Formwork for high-rise residential buildings
· Proven experience in drawings coordination across civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines
· Experience working on developer-side or PMC-managed high-rise projects preferred
