Job Description
The Finance Chief is responsible for overseeing the overall financial management of Hotel Manang. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, cost control, statutory compliance, and financial planning to support hotel operations and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely closing of books and accuracy of financial records.
- Implement effective cost control measures without compromising service quality.
- Review procurement expenses and vendor payments to ensure financial efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Nepal tax laws (VAT, TDS, Income Tax), labor laws, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Handle tax filings, returns, and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and internal controls.
- Ensure proper controls over cash handling, POS systems, and night audit reports.
- Oversee payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
- Ensure statutory deductions and benefits are correctly calculated and deposited.
- Lead and supervise the finance team ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
- Coordinate with all departments to support operational and financial objectives.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certifications (CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance/accounting, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of Nepal taxation and statutory requirements.
Working Conditions
- Full-time role based at Hotel Manang
- May require extended hours during audits, month-end, and financial closures
