Job Description

An SEO Intern has to work within a company to gain practical experience and knowledge in the field of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This role is typically entry-level and is designed for candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in digital marketing, specifically in SEO.

The primary role of an SEO Intern is to support the SEO team in various tasks such as keyword research, content optimization, on-page and off-page SEO, technical SEO, link building, and analyzing SEO performance metrics. Additionally, SEO Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with SEO tools and analytics platforms, learn how to interpret data, analyze SEO performance metrics, and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of SEO strategies and best practices.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, and other on-page elements for search engines.
  • Monitor and report on website traffic and SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console and SEMrush.
  • Support the creation and optimization of content for blogs, articles, landing pages, and other marketing materials includiong SocialMedia Post creations.
  • Help with link-building activities and outreach efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes.
Job Specification
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and keyword research tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Wordpress/Canva is a plus
