Job Title: Sales Officer – Education Sector

Location: Kathmandu, Nepal

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Officer to join our team. The Sales Officer will be responsible for selling our products and services to educational institutions, including primary schools, secondary schools, and colleges. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers within the schools and ensuring that our solutions meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Target Prospects: Research and identify potential school clients, including principals, administrators, and purchasing decision-makers.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Create and execute effective sales plans to reach out to schools, pitch products and services, and achieve sales targets.
  • Build Relationships: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with school administrators, educators, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and promote our offerings.
  • Product Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our products and services.
  • Negotiate and Close Deals: Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, including negotiating contracts and terms.
  • Market Research: Stay updated with trends in the education sector, gather feedback from schools, and provide insights to the marketing and product development teams.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards sales targets using CRM tools.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to schools post-sale, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the education sector or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of the education system, including purchasing cycles and decision-making processes within schools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed.

Job Specification

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in sales management, marketing, or education (preferred but not required).

Experience:

  • Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the education sector or a similar industry.
  • Prior experience in B2B sales, client relationship management, or field sales will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies to target specific customer groups.

  • Sales Skills: Ability to pitch, negotiate, and close deals effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to conduct presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Reporting: Required to submit regular sales activity reports, client feedback, and market insights to the Sales Manager.
