Job Description
Sunshine Construction and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Civil Engineer to lead and manage our civil engineering team for upcoming and ongoing hydropower construction projects.
Job Summary:
The Chief Civil Engineer will oversee all civil engineering aspects of hydropower construction projects, from design to execution. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hydropower or similar infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of leadership and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and monitor the civil engineering team throughout the project periods.
- Oversee the design, planning, and execution of civil works for hydropower projects, including dams, tunnels, and water conveyance structures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and legal requirements specific to hydropower projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and external consultants to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and resolve engineering issues.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and project proposals.
- Implement innovative engineering solutions to optimize construction processes and project outcomes.
- Preparation of weekly construction plan, monthly plan, weekly report and monthly report.
- Prior responsibilities for the Supervision of quality control, cost control and survey control.
Job Specification
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of hydropower construction, including dam design, geotechnical engineering, and structural analysis.
- Proven leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS).
- Ability to work in challenging environments and handle multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency English and (Chinese language) is preferable
