  • Position: Survey Engineer
  • Location: Mikwakhola Rural Municipality,4 Sanba/ Temba (Phungphunge Waterfall) Taplejung, Koshi Province.
  • Project: Middlemewa Hydropower Project.         

About the Project:

We are working on a significant hydropower development project aimed at enhancing renewable energy capacity. The project involves surveying and mapping critical terrain for the design and construction of hydropower facilities. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Survey Engineer to join our team and contribute to the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing the Bench Marks (BM), and close traverse survey .
  • Conduct field surveys for the hydropower project, including topographical, geodetic, and boundary surveys.
  • Surveying and oversee the implementation of civil engineering plans, including the construction of dams, tunnels, and other hydropower-related structures.
  • Prepare and analyze survey data to support project design, planning, and construction.
  • Make cross section and calculation of earth cut/ fill and tunnel excavation quantity.
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment (e.g., Total Stations, GPS systems, Laser Scanners).
  • Ensure accurate data collection, proper documentation, and reporting of survey results.
  • Coordinate with the design team and project engineers to ensure alignment of survey data with project requirements.
  • Provide technical support and solutions for on-site survey-related issues.
  • Assist in setting out construction alignments and other survey-related tasks as required by the project.
Job Specification

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in surveying, preferably in hydropower or large infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in using modern survey equipment (e.g., Total Stations, GNSS systems, digital levels).
  • Familiarity with surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS tools).
  • Strong understanding of survey standards, geodetic principles, and construction layout.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Prior experience in hydropower or energy sector projects is a plus.
