Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s procurement activities, including the sourcing, purchasing, and managing of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing of goods and services.
• Research and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure the best prices and quality.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Prepare and maintain procurement reports, records, and databases.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Resolve issues and disputes with suppliers or vendors.
• Perform market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with international procurement processes.
• Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPPB) is a plus
