Job Description
We are currently seeking for a proficient manpower for the post of Estimating and Costing Engineer for hydropower project.
Job Summary:
The Cost Engineer Shall be responsible for the cost calculation and to oversee the cost of the project and also for quantity survey of all the hydropower related civil work. Moreover, Monthly preparation of interim payment certification (IPC) and proper knowledge of cost and claim reference to the work production in respect to the terms and specified condition of contract are the sole responsibilities of the engineer. Furthermore, the ideal candidate shall have extensive experience in hydropower or similar infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of leadership and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly preparation of Interim payment statement (IPS & IPC)
- Perform quantity surveys which may include calculation of civil structure, earthworks and underground tunnels from construction documents and physical site inspections
- Analyze construction cost data and preparation of competition reports and as built drawings of structures.
- Promptly anticipates cost overages or other unsatisfactory cost elements and prepares cost exception reports.
Job Specification
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, construction management or related field.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in hydropower or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of hydropower construction, including dam design, structural analysis, cost
Budgeting and Claims.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, DTM Software).
- proficient in English language is compulsory and in addition if proficient in Chinese language is more preferable
